Yoshitaka Echizenya

The atmosphere that is depicted in Yoshitaka Echizenya's paintings, more than the scene itself, seems to convey the passing of time. We do not feel that time has stopped but rather beyond the painting that it has been running for a long time, and will continue to do so from now on.
Edition Works made fourteen intaglio prints with including the series
"Utsusemi no koe", "Yoi no kage" and "Tasogare no iro".
With Echizenya's pastel works and others, time is not veiled in light but rather, running to face the time between the dusk and the pitch-black darkness.
